• For easy readability, go with large type and short phrases.
  • Contrast is also important for readability. Use white text on darker backgrounds, and dark text on light backgrounds.
  • If your text is hard to read over an image, consider putting a semi-transparent shape behind the text. Sometimes just a 15% opaque shaded background provides enough contrast to be able to read the text, while not completely blocking the image.
  • Avoid backgrounds with small, busy patterns.
  • Keep motion to a minimum so it doesn’t distract from the message.
  • Use a mixture of fun/informational content and promotional messages. Don’t forget to cross-sell to your viewers!
